In some vocabulary tests I offer double points for the foreign language item if it is written down totally accurately.
If the student only needs to recognise the foreign language word and write it in English, they get one point for getting that correct.
If the student needs to write down the foreign language word they get two points if it’s perfectly accurate, and one point for a reasonable attempt at the foreign language word.
You can of course adjust this scoring system to your class. I use it with high ability sets as a starter.
